Pride and Prejudice is a story written by Jane Austen. Jane, born in December of 1775, has written multiple stories, though Pride and Prejudice is the story she is most remembered by. Jane Austen, during her lifetime, gained little fame. It was not until after her death, when her brother published A Memoir of Jane Austen, that her books began gaining fame. This story, set in England in the 19th Century, tells the tale of a family known as the Bennetââ¬â¢s. In this family there is Mr. and Mrs. Bennet, along with their daughters Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Lydia, and Kitty. Internet censorship is controlling the content that can be viewed on the internet. It is all around us and you may not even realize that you have encountered it, whether it has been at school or work. In school, you are not allowed to access certain websites and search results may be filtered. Schools do this to keep harmful content from the students, but it also limits research. When you are at work, your employer does not want you looking at inappropriate websites or things that may distract you from doing work. They have blocked Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. Google has even been blocked and people can only use the heavily censored search engine Baidu. Spoiled Children Essay For my Unit 2 IP for English Composition I have desided to do an essay on the following topic, ââ¬Å"Spoiled childrenâ⬠. First off, one can actually see how disrespectfully children speak and deal with adults as well. For an example, the other day me and my girlfriend went to the mall to go see a movie and out to eat. We saw a mother and her young daughter going into the movie theater and the daughter wanted something from the conssesion stand and the mother told her no because we are going to be going out to eat after the movies. The young girl stated ââ¬Å"I will hate you if you donââ¬â¢t get it for me. I will drop out of school and move out! â⬠Today we see a lot of children doing this because they know that they can get away with it because we can not spank them like our parents did to us back in the day because of CPS. You have children saying all kinds of rude and embarrassinng statements to their parents that cre very much about them. The kids do this until they get what they want because of the parents caving in to their demand. Second of all, children of today are just so spoiled that they end up having no self control what so ever. Like the with the mother and young teenage daughter at the mall. When you think about it, the daughter did not care at all about if she embarrassed her mother and how uncomfortable she was making her mother feel as well. I mean all she wanted for something to snack on before they went out to eat that I can understand. But however, there are other ways on getting something that you want. We will write a custom essay on Spoiled Children specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now She could have got something small and told her mother that she will still eat dinner dinner after the movie she might have been able to get something. Before she thought about talking to her mother about it she just started to blurnt out so disrespectful words to her mother, so of course the mother caved in and got her daughter what she wanted . Children of my generation didnââ¬â¢t pull stunts like that unlike some of the children of this generation.

Should You Change Companies or Careers So youââ¬â¢re just not that into your job. Maybe you actively hate it and itââ¬â¢s making you intensely miserable. But before you go nuclear and quit- ask yourself a few questions first. It could well be that your biggest beef is not with your job, per se, but with a smaller aspect of it thatââ¬â¢s fixable. You might be able to save yourself the career 180 by taking a few minutes to figure out what the real problem is. First, ask yourself the following questions. What do you like and dislike most about your job? What are your favorite and least favorite parts of your current job? Sit down and make an actual list. Start with the stuff you hate- thatââ¬â¢s probably fSo youââ¬â¢re just not that into your job. Maybe you actively hate it and itââ¬â¢s making you intensely miserable. But before you go nuclear and quit- ask yourself a few questions first. remost in your mind anyway. Then force yourself to come up with a list of aspects of your work that are not only tolerable , but perhaps even a bit enjoyable. If you canââ¬â¢t think of anything that leaves you feeling fulfilled, then thereââ¬â¢s your answer. If you can, and the list of negatives are all about your supervisor or your particular companyââ¬â¢s policies, not your actual day-to-day work, then you might need to keep thinking before going for a career change. What vocabulary would you use to describe your boss and coworkers?Again, if these are negative, then it looks like you hate the people you work with, not the work itself. If theyââ¬â¢re positive and youââ¬â¢re still miserable at work, then it might be the work thatââ¬â¢s really got you down. What would your perfect employer look like?Fantasy baseball. Describe your dream employer. What kind of work culture and benefits would you want? What kind of supervision, training, challenges appeal to you? Describing what you donââ¬â¢t like is a lot easier than coming up with what you actually want, but this is an important step. Now look at what youââ¬â¢ve come up with: are you basically describing your current company or boss? And you still hate your job? That might mean you should change careers. At least now youââ¬â¢ll know what sort of company to look for when you do.Have you been in this position anywhere else?If youââ¬â¢ve worked in your current job before, just at a different company, and you liked it, thatââ¬â¢s a good sign that you hate your company/employer, not your job. If youââ¬â¢ve never liked the work- even in a company drastically different from your current one, then, well, you have your answer. If you figure out that you do, in fact, want to change careers, keep in mind that it can be a daunting process. Nobody loves change. And switching careers takes a lot of effort, time, money, and logistical prowess. If youââ¬â¢re sure you should, but are feeling hesitant, you might want to consider taking the leap sooner rather than later. The trick is to make sure you make a better c hoice this time around. That means doing a bit more soul searching. Here are three things to keep in mind so youââ¬â¢ll choose a career and job that you actually like (and will never have to go through this again).1. Pick your life, not your job.You may think you want to do a certain kind of work. You want the perks and prestige that go with it, perhaps. But look at the lives of the people in that job. Do they have them? Do they have any time to spend with family or friends? Are they fulfilled in other areas? Do they die young from excessive stress? Find a job that gives you the lifestyle you want first and foremost. That will guarantee youââ¬â¢ll be happier in the long term.2. Understand that the grass isnââ¬â¢t always greener. You may catch a rosy outside glimpse into someone elseââ¬â¢s life in some other career, but remember that looks can be deceiving. Dig a little deeper than the veneer of what you see looking in. Find the discrepancies and complications before you s tart fantasizing about someone elseââ¬â¢s career. Spend more time thinking about what you like, rather than what looks shiny from the outside.3. Donââ¬â¢t commit too fast. This is especially true if youââ¬â¢re early in your career. Job hopping is becoming much less stigmatized. Search around a little bit before overcommitting to one path and getting stuck. Donââ¬â¢t rush off to a graduate program in something youââ¬â¢re not sure about, for example. Make sure you like it before you invest the time and money.Just remember: ask yourself the hard questions, and follow your bliss as much as you can.

DNR Surgical Patients - Essay Example It also discusses the legal and moral implications of anesthesia practice and how these implications eventually affect the decision-making process of both the patient and the attending medical health care team. I can apply the information in this article to my clinical practice because I can use the results revealed by this study in considering options for DNR patients. In my anesthesia practice, I can be more prudent of patientââ¬â¢s needs and of their choices. I would be more interested in explaining to them the different ways in which a DNR order may be carried out. I can apply this information into my practice by becoming more conscious of the options that I explain to patients. Each choice may be different for every patient, and as such, I should treat them as individuals. Even when patients share similar ailments, they may not always make the same choices. Therefore, it is important, as a medical health professional, for me to treat each patient based on his individual circumstances and on the individual choices he is making. I can also apply the information from this article to my clinical practice in the sense that I now have the opportunity to become more patient-centered and m ore evidence-based. In the current medical practice where there are so many available treatments for patients, this article will help emphasize rational and client-centered approaches to treatment. I have learned from this article that it is important for me to note that policies which automatically suspend DNR orders may not always adequately address a patientââ¬â¢s right to self-determination. In these instances, therefore, it is important for me to encourage preoperative review with my patients and with the other members of the health care team. By reviewing the options with the patients, it may be possible for these patients to opt for medical interventions which will make their lives comfortable. I have also learned that my viewpoint as a medical health
